Advanced Analytics (AA), Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), predictive and prescriptive analytics, optimization models, making decisions algorithms, natural language processing, and robotic process automation have been popular keywords in different industrial researches over the last years. Industry managers and key making decisions people have heard that advanced analytics can solve business problems, and now they are competing to get their hands on the intelligence technologies and the experts who can operate them. However, technology investments and hired data scientists cannot guarantee achievements. Industrial managers need to develop a strong foundation by embedding an understanding of advanced analytics throughout their companies.
